Occurred Friday, April 29th at 3:51 PM – Fred Meyer (Thrasher’s Corner)
A female subject who had been shopping at Fred Meyer was loading items into her vehicle in the parking lot when she was approached by a male subject. The suspect grabbed the woman’s necklace and a struggle ensued. The suspect ripped the necklace from the female’s neck. During the struggle, the female victim was able to grab the male suspect’s gold colored chain from around his neck. The male suspect fled on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries during the struggle.
The suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion, late teens or early 20s, 5’6″ – 5’8″, afro style haircut. An unidentified witness at the scene mentioned to other witnesses that the suspect may have gotten into a gold colored vehicle and left the area northbound on SR 527 SE.
We are looking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident and has information or someone who knows the male suspect who used to wear the above pictured gold colored chain and/or has recently acquired the necklace with the 2 small gold colored discs.
